JFG offers communication services in 9 languages on various occasions in response to the increasing needs of our clients in an age of globalization, including tour guiding, interpretation and other services.

JFG is made up of over 650 foreign language professionals, all of whom passed the state examination for the certification of interpreter-guides.

JFG is a business cooperative society approved by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Japan.

JFG is a full member of the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA),the only global forum for tourist guides worldwide.

  MAIN SERVICES RATES (for overseas residents only)

1.TOUR GUIDING SERVICES
* Tour guiding services include sightseeing, shopping, meeting and sending-off at airports and stations, etc.
*Our highly experienced government-licensed guides provide services tailored to your goal and needs at reasonable rates.

(a) 1-4 persons

  • The fees include tax and the guide's travel cost between his/her home and the site of the assignment.
  • All the expenses incurred during work including admission fees and travel costs will be borne by you.

  

2.INTERPRETATION SERVICES

* Fees vary depending on the content of the assignment, degree of specialization and other factors.

Interpretation (A):

3.CANCELLATION FEE
* When an order is cancelled, a cancellation fee will be charged as follows:
Guiding and Interpretation Services:
Number of Days of Advance Notice Cancellation Charge
 No advance notice or notice on the day  100% of the fee
 1-2 days in advance  80% of the fee
 3-7 days in advance  30% of the fee

  THE GUIDE-INTERPRETER BUSINESS LAW OF JAPAN


The Guide-Interpreter Business Law (Law No. 210 of 1949) stipulates that only persons who have passed the nation's guide-interpreter examination may work as guide-interpreters for a fee, and that a person who has no guide license and has accompanied persons other than Japanese and provided them with travel guide services in a language other than Japanese for a fee, shall be penalized with a fine of up to 500,000 yen pursuant to Article 40 of the law.

Article 2
A guide-interpreter provides travel guide service (accompanying persons other than Japanese and offering travel guide service in a language other than Japanese) for a fee.
Article 3
One who has passed an examination conducted by the Ministry of Land Infrastructure and Transport is eligible to be a licensed guide-interpreter.
Article 18
One who is eligible to be a licensed guide-interpreter must be approved for the guide-interpreter registration of his/her name, date of birth, address and other information stipulated by the regulations of Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport before starting a guide-interpreter business.
Article 36
One who is not a licensed guide-interpreter shall not provide any guide services for a fee.
Article 40
One who has violated the provisions of Article 36 shall be penalized with a fine of up to 500,000 yen.

*This law applies to all people regardless of the person's nationality.
